The Silencer TM is unique in name and performance. It is not a silencer but a press attachment that allows self wound lamination to run more smoothly, faster and with less apparent noise. The SilencerTM, in service for over eight years, has been a real performer for label manufacturers who run self wound lamination. The spring tension arm controlled roller makes the Silencer so different from the copycats on the market. The roller presses against the laminate roll and allows the lamination to unwind evenly and with very little tension. This stops the pulsating of the roll on the core holder, when the roll unwinds at a faster speed than the press is running, then catches up and speeds up again. Each time this happens the lamination is placed under tension that can result in label curl or registration problems
